Professional Finalists

Jordan Mazur is the owner of Muse Pole Fitness in Columbia, MO and was a professional dancer with the Missouri Contemporary Ballet for 4 years. She has competed and performed in many pole competitions and shows in the US, and has performed dance internationally. Jordan is excited to share the stage with the other competitors in her first Florida Pole Fitness Championships.

Ioana was in gymnastics for a few years growing up and then was part of the springboard diving team in high school. Once in college Ioana was still craving the same feeling gymnastics gave her. After trying a pole dancing class in Tallahassee, she found that feeling and was hooked. She appreciates all styles of pole dance and wants to be like Greta Pontarelli when she grows up. Pole dancers like her make Ioana hopeful that she will be able to pole dance for the rest of her life while spreading the love of pole to others. Ioana previously competed in the 2016 USPSF Championship and was an instructor at Wildside Pole and Fitness Studio. Now she practices in Tampa under Sarah Jade with all of the other lovely buttercups.

Svetlana has been born and raised in Russia where she graduated as a teacher of Russian and Russian literature. In 2008 Svetlana moved to Miami, in 2012 she decided to try pole fitness out of curiosity and it was love from the first class. Pole completely changed her perspective of fitness which doesn’t have to be boring and exhausting, Svetlana thinks that the pole dancing is a great, powerful, body transforming art, which has no regulations and limitations. It is a perfect combination of strength and sensuality.

Brittnai began her pole journey in 2012 after she opened up her pinup girl inspired coffee shop, Retro Roast. Pole quickly replaced coffee as her passion and within 6 months she broke out into the competitive scene. Brittnai loves blending power pole inspired tricks with sexy floorwork. She has competed in the professional division of Pole Sport Organization and was selected to perform at the 2015 Pole For A Purpose. Brittnai began her pole journey in Seattle and has since traveled to Georgia and now resides in El Paso, TX where she shares her love of pole as an instructor at Fit Pole Studios.

Rosa Rodriguez born in Panama, raised in Miami. Self taught pole dancer with no background in gymnastic,dance, or sports. She’s a rebellious girl who fought and fights her demons through pole, she been a poker for five years and been teaching pole for 3, she currently teaches at sensual souls and exotic workouts in sunrise.

Leah is from Columbia, Missouri where she teaches and trains at Muse Pole Fitness. She fell in love with pole 3 years ago and became a teacher about 2 years ago. There is nothing more fulfilling in her life than pole, and she loves getting the opportunity to give back and do what she loves. Leah has performed and competed around the country. She is most proud of placing 3rd at the 2015 Florida Pole Fitness Championships and 5th at the NAPDC Midwest Elite pole competition. Other memorable performances include: The 8th annual Michelle Mynx Extravaganza, the first ever Poetry in Motion: Sapphic Eddition, headlining The Rock and Roll Pole Show: Tribute to Classic Rock.

Kennedy was a competitive gymnast at a young age. Unfortunately training at level ten Kennedy broke her back, which ended her gymnastics career. Recovery was long and hard but she found herself getting back into fitness. Kennedy would train at the gym on a regular basis but it wasn’t until she tried a pole fitness class that she found her passion again like she had for gymnastics. Kennedy trains at Bittersweet Studios and truly feel blessed to have Summer Vyne being the owner, and providing athletes with everything they need to be the best they can be.

Katie’s first pole class was taken on a whim in April 2011, and she immediately fell in love. Since then, she has competed in multiple competitions, both in Florida and nationwide, and performed in various showcases. She appreciates all styles of pole, but her favorite performances include sky-high heels, sequins, and body rolls. Katie is co-owner of Bittersweet Studios Palm Coast.

Janine first discovered pole fitness in 2009 and since then, she’s been hooked. She became a double-certified pole fitness instructor and wanted to help others bring out their “sexy swagger,” all while getting a good workout and having fun doing it. Through pole dancing, she wants to be able to inspire, entertain, and encourage others to reach their fitness goals. She loves the experience of performing; the preparations and final result; while watching, encouraging, and enjoying others performing on the stage. Janine has competed in several pole competitions. She won 1st Place at Pole Sport Organization’s 2015 Southern Pole Championships in Level 4 Championship and 2nd Place in the Dramatic categories. She also placed 1st in the Southwest Aerial Art Championships Level 4 Entertainment and Freedance categories. She also won “Miss Congeniality” at the 2015 Florida Pole Fitness Championships. Janine loves everything that pole dancing has to offer, which is fun, fitness, and the ability to have camaraderie with so many great people. She absolutely enjoys teaching at Aradia Fitness in Cary, NC and its’ sister studio, Inner Diva Fitness in Charlotte. Janine is an ALTERNATE COMPETITOR.
Semi-Pro Finalists

Between her full time job as a dental hygienist and caring for her one-year-old son, Paige has to squeeze pole dancing into any spare moment. She is grateful to her husband, David, for continuing to support her training addiction. Paige started poling in 2012, participated in FPFC in 2014, and was lucky enough to continue training until she was about eight months pregnant. After the arrival of her son, she was thrilled to learn that babies make great weight lifting partners. She currently trains at Lotus Fitness Studio, where she can de-stress and bond with some of her favorite women. She is also a blogger and has written four novels.

Camille always wanted to join the circus as a child and become a trapeze artist. The daring, high flying, breathtaking tricks and the ease and freedom with which these artists executed them, enthralled her completely. Growing up in Jamaica, she was never presented with opportunity unfortunately. When Camille first discovered pole dancing in 2009 after watching a video of Felix Cane perform, she thought that this would be her chance to finally learn how to fly. It would be a few years more before Camille found a studio in relatively close proximity to her home and began taking classes. Camille has been training at Pixie Fitness for the past three years and she has learned so much about herself, her body and its capabilities, and have gained strength, courage, endurance and a second family. This has now become a lifelong journey to take flight.

Tempestt first fell in love with aerial in 2008. She started her aerial journey with Aerial Silks and Aerial Lyra, but shortly found the same love and joy from Pole Fitness. She has been training at Bittersweet Studios since March of 2015. She is so honored and humbled to be able to share this passion with everyone.

Gabbie is a current nursing student living in Southwest Florida. She is a veteran that was in the service for five years. While in the navy, she was a Fitness Command Leader. Needless to say, military fitness lacked the beauty and grace Gabbie craved. Her passion for fitness was not fulfilled until she discovered pole fitness two years ago. Gabbie believes pole fitness is the complete balance where both strength and beauty can be expressed. To Gabbie, pole dancing is not a hobby, it is a lifestyle.

Dawn began her pursuit of pole dancing in March 2013 with no previous dance or athletic experience. She fell in love with the sport and has since become an active member in the community teaching, performing, competing and coaching. Dawn enjoys sharing her pole journey, the triumphs as well as the momentary failures that are all a part of the path every person takes toward achieving a goal. She hopes that this realism will help motivate and inspire others to step out of their comfort zones, accepting the good with the bad, knowing that no one is just perfect at something the first time. It takes work, but with that work, dedication and a strong support system, anything is possible! Hi, I’m Britt, a super-nerd who works in games development and loves terrible puns. And cats. That just about sums it up! Just kidding 🙂 My interests in hobbies are constantly changing, but pole has managed to hold my attention. I’ve been hooked since day one a little over a year ago, and I don’t plan on stopping.

I have been pole dancing for 4 years. As a student turned instructor this has given me the courage and strength to overcome many obstacles that have been placed in my path. My greatest joy in life is pole dancing and sharing my passion with so many amazing strong and fierce ladies. Being a part of something so special that empowers women to take life by the horns and achieve their dreams is goals is an amazing feeling. Many of these ladies say that I inspire them, well it is the other way around for me, they push me on a daily basis to be great and do amazing things. I look forward to taking the stage and sharing my passion with my family at the FPFC. Bottoms Up!!!
Men Finalists

Melvin has a background in competitive gymnastics and dance. He is a full time gymnastics coach. He started pole dance Two years ago. His first competitive season was in 2015. He was the Atlantic Pile Championships silver medalist and the North American Pole Dance Championship silver medalist. He took a fifth place finish in his first PSO Nationals in Los Angeles last summer.

Jason Span first discovered gymnastics when he was 8 years old in Jacksonville, FL. Aspiring to live a dream, his parents enrolled him at United Gymnastics in Jacksonville, and immediately went into competing. He advanced to Men’s Class One Elite during his sophomore year of high school and stopped competing at age 19 when he enlisted in the US Navy to become a Hospital Corpsman during the winter of 2004. Since then he trained casually during off-duty working hours and began to venture into the world of classical ballet and pointe. While stationed in Guam Jason became part of the Fusion Dance Company and performed in the Nutcracker as well as a Pas de Duex performance for a charity event hosted by the mayor of Guam. Being in Hawaii he quickly became interested in the circus arts and ventured out to seek classes on aerial silks/tissu and hoop/lyra. Upon his new passions for the aerial arts, Jason Span quickly became acquainted with this new passion. Taking his skills in both gymnastics and dance he applied them to bring out the illusion of dancing and flying in the air. Along with being a Hospital Corpsman for the United States Navy and a certified Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers cardholder, Jason also helped coach various levels of men’s and women’s gymnastics, as well as teaching dance in the performing arts and circus arts. Dedicating his dreams to the sport and dance, Jason also gives his best to help children and adults achieve their dreams in the sport of gymnastics and the performance and visual arts.
