All candidates must perform a choreographed routine between 2:00 – 3:30 minutes depending on the division. Competitors will be scored on the following Elements – 25% each (Artistry, presentation, choreography, technique) will account for 100% of the final score. Competitors with the highest overall score will place in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions.
Floor work not to exceed 15% of routine for all divisions.
APPARATUS INFORMATION & RIGGING
It is required that all competitors follow instructions given by the head rigger with regards to rigging safety. Failure to respond to instructions from the head rigger can result in disqualification. Touching the rigging is strictly prohibited. Competitors may be disqualified, and music stopped if anything is determined to result in an unsafe situation for competitors, staff, or guest.
TAKE TIME TO GET YOUR HEIGHT CORRECT DURING STAGE TESTING.
If you have not set height outside of your training studio, please tell the head rigger so he can guide you through the process in more detail.
The hammock will be red, 108” wide, nylon tricot low/medium stretch fabric. The length of the fabric (from tie off to bottom, not the full length of fabric end to end) will be between 8 and 9 feet. The hammock will be hung using a triangle and swivels from a single rigging point approximately 14 feet above the stage.
The hammock will hang at approximately 60” off the floor to the bottom of the sling.
Hammock competitors may specify a lower height from the stage via email prior to the event and confirm during stage testing. If the competitor is not present during stage testing to confirm the specified height, the hammock will automatically be hung to the set height of 60”.
- Crash mats will be provided for your safety.
- Minors MUST use a crash pad. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Judges will be looking at overall performance level, technique, execution, and level of difficulty to determine if the athlete fits into semi-pro or pro division for the age group.)

Hammock Pro: SONG MAXIMUM 3:30

*A drop on hammock changes level from a higher to a lower one with at least a degree of momentum. A Single drop is a descent with one rotation or a quick descent without rotation that takes the performer from a higher level to a lower level with momentum.
**A dive rotates around a wrap without significantly changing levels. A single dive is one rotation without descent.
***NOTE: Any restricted moves described in the Silks divisions that could be performed in the Hammock divisions are also restricted for Hammock but will not necessarily be repeated here.
