SILKS DIVISION

All candidates must perform a choreographed routine between 2:00 – 3:00 minutes depending on the division. Competitors will be scored on the following Elements – 25% each (Artistry, presentation, choreography, execution and skill) will account for 100% of the final score. Competitors with the highest overall score will place in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions.

Floor work not to exceed 15% of routine for all divisions.

APPARATUS INFORMATION

Silks will be provided by competition production management. Outside silks will not be permitted. Silks will be a tricot medium-stretch fabric hung from a swivel and a single rigging point approximately 17 feet above the stage. Silks will have a 0-2 foot tail pending stage set up and venue. Silks are tied to a stainless-steel rescue 8 and hung from a single swivel, attached to a single point above the stage. 

  • Crash mats will be provided for your safety. 
  • Minors MUST use a crash pad. NO EXCEPTIONS. 
  • Restricted moves include the kamikaze drop in any level,

 Novice A: SONG MAXIMUM 2:00

  • Restricted moves include dead man drop, unlocked and open wrap drops
  • Any drops are those that could go catastrophically wrong if mis-wrapped or that rely on hand- eye coordination to arrest movement. 

 Novice B & Junior: SONG MAXIMUM 2:30

  • Restricted moves include dead man drop, unlocked and open wrap drops
  • Any drops are those that could go catastrophically wrong if mis-wrapped or that rely on hand- eye coordination to arrest movement. 

Silks Semi-Pro: SONG MAXIMUM 3:00

NO UNLOCKED DROPS (Meaning no drops where you are catching as you fall). Stacked single drops are allowed.
